Located in the heart of central Germany, Frankfurt is the national transportation hub with excellent road, rail and air transportation links. To get to Frankfurt from Berlin by train it takes 3 hours and 56 minutes or 5 hours and 30 minutes by car. Munich to Frankfurt is just over 3 hours’ train ride and 4 hours by car. Cologne is about an hour by train and 2 hours by car. If you are on a tight budget you can choose any trans-European buslines such as Eurolines to get to the city.
Frankfurt International Airport and Hahn Airport are the closes air links to Frankfurt. To get to the city centre from the Frankfurt Airport take a taxi, bus (line 61) or fast commuter train called S-Bahn. The ride from the airport to the city centre takes about 11 minutes. Frankfurt Hahn Airport, located about 2 hours’ bus ride to the centre is mostly used by budget airlines.
Great public transport options are available in Frankfurt. Use U-Bahn for underground and overground travel. You can also use the tram and busses or S-Bahn for connections to the airport and the suburbs. You can also discover the city on foot or bike. It is best to avoid using a car due to lack of parking space in the city. Uninest Frankfurt provides bicycle storage and chargeable car park.
Your rent includes all utility bills, including internet, but not food. Your room will have access to a kitchen equipped with a cooker and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, kitchen table, chairs and storage for personal food items.
All our properties have a maintenance operative. If something goes wrong you can log it online or with a member of the team, and there’s a number to call in case of emergencies such as a flood.
Your residence will have a residence manager and residence assistants to support you while you’re at Uninest. They’ll be able to help you with any practical problems or complaints. If you have any health or welfare issues, they will help you get in touch with the relevant student support service at your university, where they have people trained to help you.
Your tenancy agreement will be for 51 weeks starting from 1st October ready for the start of the academic year. If you want to stay for a shorter period or move in at a later date, then please contact a member of the Enquiries team by email or phone. To stay longer, we would encourage you to let us know if you like to extend your stay. We will then check your request and get back to you with the relevant conditions immediately.
In order for us to complete your tenancy we will need to see the following documentation:rn- A copy of your ID card or passportrn- A copy of your guarantor’s ID card or passportrn- A copy of your certificate of enrolment from your university or For non-EU students, a copy of your resident’s permit and visa
